Recital Fee All dance studios charge a recital fee to cover the large expenses associated with renting, insuring, staffing, and executing a large production. This year’s recital fee is $45 (siblings $30). Recital fee is due no later than April 30th and will post with April tuition.
Recital Tickets We will be selling tickets online again this year but using a different company. Tickets go on sale March 17th at 9AM and cost $10 or $15 for premium plus processing fee of $1 and 5% online fee. It is reserved seating so you get to select your seats. The link for purchases is http://www.recitalticketing.com/26830. Remaining tickets will also be available at the door the day of the show for $15. Children who sit in a lap do not need a ticket. This link will also be where you purchase program ads and any recital extras.
Recital Program Book Ads We sell program books at the recital for $5 each. The books list the order of the show and have pictures of the girls which make a great keepsake. This book is also a great way for businesses to advertise. The cost is $60 for ¼ pg ad, $100 for ½ pg ad, and $150 for a full page ad. A business ad may feature pictures of an All-Starz Dancer made at picture day, we can include logos, coupons, etc. Logos may be emailed to email@example.com and the deadline to purchase a business ad is April 15th on the online site where tickets will be sold. Help us spread the word to any business owners you know and take advantage if you are a business owner. Personal ads are also available to wish your dancer(s) luck or congratulate them or tell them you are proud of them by placing an ad in the recital program book. This year for every ad sold, the dancers name will be entered into a contest to win one of the following: A recital DVD, a recital t-shirt, a free month's tuition for the next dance year, free registration fee for the next dance year, or merchandise voucher to use for anything sold in our lobby.
Recital Extras We offer several ways to commemorate this event for your dancer. However, they are all optional keepsakes and exist as options for your convenience only. Costume Drop Off MAKE SURE YOUR CHILDS NAME IS ON EVERY COSTUME PIECE. Drop off all their costumes with the exception of the one they will dance in first in the show as they will arrive to the show already wearing that one. If they only have one dance they do not have to drop anything off. Each class should bring costumes in a clear/plastic garment bag. Please make sure your child's name and class is on the garment bag and drop off all costumes in this bag and all accessories for that costume a ziplock bag attached to the hangers in the garment bag. This allows you to arrive hands free to the show.
THE “BAG” SYSTEM You will be given a white bag that has your dancer’s name on it and a checklist of what all needs to be in the bag when they arrive to the show, a costume checklist and information on hair, makeup and what they should arrive to the show wearing. If your child needs new shoes for the show, they must be ordered by April 30th.
Student Drop off/Pick up for Dress Rehearsal & Show Drop off - Dancers should be 100% fully ready for rehearsal or recital when they are dropped off. They need to have a peanut free non-staining snack with them (think animal crackers, gummies) and a bottle of water with their name on it. They will be dropped off at the back door of van meter by the loading dock. Parents are not allowed back stage. We will have designated workers at the drop off point. You will check your child in, receive a parent pick-up card, and then someone will take them to their dressing rooms. For safety reasons, the only adults that are allowed backstage are those who have signed up as backstage moms or helpers. Babystarz will sit with parents in the audience until intermission. Tiny Starz will sit with parents in the audience after intermission. I will give detailed instructions to those classes. Pick Up –After the show, parents will be called back stage to pick up their child in groups based on the color of their parent pick up cards. Please wait until your group has been called and send only one parent backstage. We like to dismiss the younger students first. You will need your parent pick up card to be able to pick-up your child backstage. Please realize this is to assure the safety of your child.
Recital Preparation A dance recital represents so much hard work on behalf of the girls, instructors, and parents. I hope you will join in the excitement we have regarding this event.
Things you can do to make the recital experience more enjoyable:
Encourage the dancers to practice at home. Videos of all routines will be sent to you when routines are completed in class.
Get your dancer to all classes. With the exception of sickness, dancers should be in attendance. Missing class puts your child behind and effects the rest of the group as well so be sure to be there!
Keep your account current. Dancers are required to have a zero balance and accounts must be paid in full by May 15th for your child to participate in the show.
Label all costume pieces with your dancer’s name as you receive them. Also, be sure your dancer has her name in her shoes.
